Dilaw was founded in 1994 by several lawyers with years of practical experience, including Steven Boeynaems. Over the years, the firm has been strengthened with young, ambitious professionals. In 2016, lawyer and insolvency practitioner Christiaan Hendrickx and his firm joined the association.
In 2025, insolvency practitioner Stefanie Hens also joined the Dilaw team. This means that no fewer than five insolvency specialists, both individually and as a team, are currently active at Dilaw! Insolvency law has therefore become a well-known specialty of the firm.
Since 2026, insolvency practitioner Katrien Teughels has also been part of Dilaw.
Dilaw also offers a comprehensive legal service package, focused on both businesses and individuals seeking legal assistance.
As a result, the firm has become the preferred lawyer for numerous SMEs and private individuals. Dilaw has approximately ten lawyers nationwide, each familiar with one or more specific areas of law. They also have access to five logistics staff members and an accountant. Where necessary, assistance can be provided by the Proteus network of no fewer than 200 lawyers across Europe. Where necessary, tailored teams are formed to the client's needs, combining experience and specific knowledge across various practice areas.
